Adopt-A-Bull rescues all of our dogs
from area shelters and because of this and a shortage of foster homes, we can rarely take owner turn ins. There are thousands of bully breed dogs
being put down in our country every day due to their
irresponsible breeders and owners. We are committed to
finding as many dogs responsible homes as we can, but
those homes are limited. Our main focus are those in
immanent danger at our shelters.
We will however help in placing your dog or one you have
found if you can no longer care for it. We understand
that sometimes people feel they have to re-home their
dog for one reason or another. If you are having
behavioral problems with your dog, please ask us for
advice. Our main goal is to keep these dogs in your
home. A lot of times you are their last hope and only
chance and you owe that to your dog. Please visit this
link so you can get a feel for the reality of finding
your dog a new home. You must keep in mind it can take
up to a year to find an adult bully a RESPONSIBLE home.
If you still feel it is necessary to re-home your dog
please fill out the placement
assistance form,
being as descriptive as possible. We also recomend that you contact
Pit Bull Rescue Central and ask to also post your dog on their site.Your dog's bio
is going to give perspective homes an idea into your
dogs personality. This is very important. You need to
give us as much information as possible so we can find
your dog the appropriate home. We also need pictures in
.jpeg format to post of your dog. I can not stress
enough that a picture is worth a thousand words. This
is your dogs ticket to a new life. Good, happy pictures
is what gets dogs adopted. If you send us pictures that
we do not think will work we will not post your dog. It
is your responsibility to help your dog, if you need
help on taking pictures please contact us and we can
arrange a meeting. For tips on picture taking please
visit
Pit Bull Rescue Central picture taking tips.
Please send pictures to
adoptabully@yahoo.com after you have completed the
placement assistance form.
