Adopt A Bull does not currently have any of the pit bulls seized in the recent fighting busts. When or if any of them are released for adoption we hope to help evaluate and place as many of them as possible. In anticipation of taking any of these dogs in we are trying to move all of the dogs from our current fosters into permanant homes or local kennels. If you could help by fostering one of our current dogs, or making a donation to help pay for anticipated kennel bills, your help would be greatly appreciated and go directly towards caring for a pit bull in need.

How to help
A dog has the soul of a philosopher ~ Plato (c. 427 - 347 B.C.)

We are always in need of help!

Arizona has a huge bully breed overpopulation problem and we need help in solving it.

Our focus is on breed education and spay and neuter efforts in our area, as we feel these are VERY important.  Our Bullies are in great danger as breed bans are popping up all around us.  Everyday there is a new city that has decided to ban our dogs.  Through our education hopefully we can help communities see the true bulldog and better alternatives to banning certain breeds.

Where the help is most needed is getting well socialized breed ambassadors into our community showing people how great our breed can be.  A well behaved social dog is better then a thousand words.  In the state our communities are in, we need only positive exposure for our dogs. You can have someone encounter a hundred well behaved pit bulls in a day but if one acts out, that is the pit that is remembered.  Only have your dog out if you have total control.

In addition to breed exposure, we need people writing letters to their city counsels urging for non breed specific dangerous dog laws that hold owners accountable for their dogs, regardless of breed.  Day after day attacks go unreported by dogs that are not classified as pit bulls while when a pit bull barks at someone it makes the front page.  Any dog can bite, any dog can kill, we need to curb the human behavior that promotes these behaviors in dogs or no one will ever be save from dog attacks even if pit bull are extinct.
